Vision

Our vision is to instill Quran in the hearts of our children in such a way that the Quran acts as the engine that drives all the aspects of their lives.

 

About Us

Houston Quran Academy and Katy Islamic Academy offer hifz along with academics. The hifz program is unique because students do much more than just memorize the Arabic of the Qu’ran. They also learn proper tajweed, the English meaning, and discuss how the Quran they’ve memorized applies to their lives.  The school also provides advanced academics including English, math, science, social studies, art, P.E. plus Arabic and Islamic Studies

In 2008, the Muslim American Society began the Houston Quran Academy as solely a hifz program in a tiny youth center with 15 students. In just three years it has grown to include academics for grades Pre-K through 12 with student body of almost 100.

 

Curriculum

Katy Islamic Academy is our elementary school and includes PreK-grade 5. KIA uses the same curriculum materials as neighboring public school districts plus a variety of additional resources to meet individual learning styles.

Houston Quran Academy is the middle and high school with grades 6-12 and offers an advanced accredited program.
