Saturday, April 09, 2011 After maghrib prayer, Br. Sharif spoke about his project Park 51 in Manhattan. Imam Wazir Ali from Mercy Community Center was the motivational speaker. Nearly 135K was raised for the center. The parking lot project is complete, and now there is ample parking for Jumah and Eid festivities. However, nearly 110K is owed on the parking lot and needs to be fulfilled by the month of Ramadan. If you would like to make a donation, please contact br. Hamza Bui at 713-820-3300 or Br. Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
